This feature will allow automatic shifting of the ZF transmission without a factory ABS module present, such as when the ZF transmission has been used in a vehicle conversion.
This feature may not fully replicate factory behaviour in every application. Please verify correct transmission functionality in each installation.
Please do not change the option from 'Installed' if the factory ABS unit is present and functional in the vehicle as CAN communication conflicts will occur.
Access this feature in Main Setup (F4) > Devices > ABS Module.
If the factory ABS is installed and functioning normally, please select 'Installed'. This is the default configuration.
If the factory ABS is not installed, select 'Not Installed (simulate for ZF transmission)'. This will activate the simulation.
When simulating the ABS, the ZF transmission also requires the following to be setup and working correctly:
- Brake Switch
- Engine Coolant Temperature
- Engine Oil Temperature
- Throttle Position (either via Drive By Wire or Throttle Position Sensor)
- At least one Vehicle Speed Sensor.
You can use the Drive Train Sensor as a CAN Input for your vehicle speed source. You will need to calibrate (Vehicle Speed Sensors -> Calibration tab) to ensure vehicle speed accuracy.
