Barometric Pressure Sensor

Barometric Pressure Sensor

A Barometric Pressure Sensor is used to measure changes in atmospheric pressure due to weather or altitude. This can be used for engine tuning or datalogging purposes. A Barometric Pressure Sensor is a powered sensor that typically has three wires; a 5V+ power wire, a signal wire to the ECU, and a Signal Ground wire. MAP Sensors are commonly used as Barometric Pressure Sensors.

On this node, the Barometric Pressure sensor calibration can be loaded or entered manually. If you have purchased a MAP sensor from Haltech, calibrations can be loaded directly into the calibration table by using the 'Load from File' button. Calibrations can be saved to file by using the 'Save to File' button.

Display

This node sets the display settings for the Barometric Pressure channel.
Warning Minimum - Sets the pressure at which the Barometric Pressure sensor Number Displays, Gauges and Bars will enter their lower warning state.
Display Maximum - Sets the pressure at which the Barometric Pressure sensor gauge and bar displays end. This also set the maximum pressure allowed to be used in settings and tables.

Diagnostics

This node allows the enabling of high and low voltage DTCs for the Barometric Pressure sensor.
A DTC severity can be set for each voltage, which will trigger an Engine Protection level for the relevant setting.

Wiring

This node allows you to assign the input for the Barometric Pressure sensor.
Barometric Pressure Sensors use an Analog Input. Any available AVI can be used.
It is recommended to disable the Pull Up.
