Cylinder Shutdown

Cylinder Shutdown

Cylinder Shutdown

Only available when Exhaust Gas Temperature is enabled and set with one sensor each cylinder.

Enable - Enables the per-cylinder shutdown, which when active will cut ignition and injection to the cylinder whose Exhaust Gas Temperature (EGT) exceeded the Max EGT limit. This cut will continue until the ECU is reset or power cycled.

Max EGT - The shutdown will be applied to a cylinder if the EGT in that cylinder reads above this value for longer than the time specified in the Delay setting.

Delay - The EGT must exceed the max EGT for this period of time before a shutdown will activate. This is to prevent shutdowns from occurring due to a very short-term spike in EGT.
