Dead Time

Dead Time

(example only)

Fuel Injector Dead Time is the mechanical delay from when the injector solenoid coil is energised to when the injector stars flowing fuel. It is also known as 'injector lag time' or 'injector latency'. Dead Time is unique for every injector and can be affected by many factors but is most commonly measured against battery voltage and/or injector differential pressure.

Like the injector flow rate, dead time data should be sourced from the manufacturer or supplier of your fuel injectors.

This table requires accurate data for accurate fuel delivery from your injectors at all engine loads.
