An Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensor, commonly referred to as a EMAP Sensor, is used to measure pressure in the exhaust manifold. An EMAP Sensor is a powered sensor that typically has three wires; a 5V+ power wire, a signal wire to the Elite ECU, and a Signal Ground. Care needs to be taken when installing an EMAP sensor so that the pressure line is not damaged by the high temperatures experienced with the exhaust manifold. EMAP sensors are often used for monitoring turbine efficiency and for MAP/EMAP engine tuning.

Select an appropriate input to use for the Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensor. When an external sensor is to be used an appropriate AVI (Analogue Voltage Input) should be used.
This allows calibrations for the Exhaust Manifold Pressure Sensors to be loaded or saved. A number of calibrations come pre-installed with the ESP Software package. If your sensor is not listed, a custom calibration can be created with the data provided by the sensor manufacturer.
Sets the pressure above which any gauge displaying the EMAP will highlight flashing red.
Sets the minimum pressure that an EMAP gauge can display. This does not affect the reading of the sensor, only what can be displayed in the ESP software.
Sets the maximum pressure that any EMAP gauge can display. This does not affect the reading of the sensor, only what can be displayed in the ESP software.
The settings in this tab allow limits to the set for the detection of either fault conditions, or conditions that could be considered to cause engine damage related to the Manifold Pressure Sensor.
Only available when the Input Type has been set to Analogue Voltage. When enabled, this allows for the error code P0470 to be set when the voltage is below the set amount. This is used to detect a short or disconnection with the wiring. If the Engine Protection function is active a DTC Severity level can be selected for this condition if desired. (Default = Disabled)
Only available when the Input Type has been set to Analogue Voltage. When enabled, this allows for the error code P0471 to be set when the voltage is above the set amount. This is used to detect a short or disconnection with the wiring. If the Engine Protection function is active a DTC Severity level can be selected for this condition if desired. (Default = Disabled)
When enabled, this allows for the error code P0472 to be set when the EMAP falls below the set amount. If the Engine Protection function is active a DTC Severity level can be selected for this condition if desired. (Default = Disabled)
When enabled, this allows for the error code P0473 to be set when the EMAP exceeds the set amount. If the Engine Protection function is active a DTC Severity level can be selected for this
