Gear Position

Gear Position

The Gear Position node is only available if Gear Detection Type is set to Gear Position Sensor in the Gear Detection function

This node allows for the Gear Position Sensor calibration to be created. By pressing the Calibrate button with the gear selector in the listed position, the Nominal Voltage value will be filled out automatically with the currently read voltage. This automatically calibrates each gear position.

A Reverse gear position calibration can be created also by toggling the Enable button.

Nominal Voltage

The voltage read by the gear position sensor when the transmission is in the selected gear.

Voltage Tolerance

The voltage amount added either side of the nominal voltage for the current gear. If the voltage of the gear selector falls within this distance from the nominal voltage, the selector is considered to be in this gear.
