Idle Up

Air Conditioning

Air Con Idle Base Offset - Active only when Air Conditioner has been enabled. The Base Duty will be increased by this amount of duty cycle when the Air Conditioner Output is active.
Air Con Idle RPM Offset - Active only when Air Conditioner has been enabled. The Target RPM will be increased by this amount of RPM when the Air Conditioner Output is active.

Power Steering

Base Duty Cycle Offset - Active only when the Power Steering Switch has been enabled. The Base Duty will be increased by this percentage of duty cycle when the Power Steering Switch is active.
RPM Offset - Active only when the Power Steering Switch has been enabled. The Target RPM will be increased by this amount of RPM when the Power Steering Switch is active.

Electrical Load

Base Duty Cycle Offset - Active only when the Electrical Load Switch has been enabled. The Base Duty will be increased by this percentage of duty cycle when the Electrical Load is active and signalling that there is a load significant enough to affect Idle (e.g. headlights).
RPM Offset - Active only when the Electrical Load Switch has been enabled. The Target RPM will be increased by this amount of RPM when the Electrical Load is active and signalling that there is a load significant enough to affect Idle (e.g. headlights).

Air Pump

Idle Delay - The delay time used to allow idle to stabilise, before the air pump puts a load on the engine.

Generic Idle Up

The input must be configured as a Generic Sensor.
Enable - Enabled or Disables the Generic Idle Up.
Input - Select the Generic Sensor to be used for Idle Up.
Base Offset - The amount of duty to be added to the Base Duty while the Generic Idle Up is active.

Idle Control The Idle Control function allows your ECU to control the engine idle speed. There are multiple ways this is achieved with either Drive-By-Wire (DBW) control, a Bypass Air Control (BAC) solenoid with either two or 3 wire types, or via a ...

    • Tuning for Idle (fuel)

The idle mixture is very sensitive to changes in injection time. Idle injection times are usually around 1.5 to 2.5 ms. If the injection time at idle is much lower than this, it may become difficult to set accurate idle and cruise air/fuel ratios. ...
    • Tuning For Idle (ignition)

Typical idle speeds usually sit between 500 RPM and 1000 RPM. In order to assist the idle control mechanism to achieve a steady engine speed, it is advisable to ensure that the ignition advance at the idle loads between 500 and 1000 RPM are similar, ...
    • Idle Control Tuning

Idle Control is used to hold the RPM steady while off the throttle. To do this the ECU needs to be controlling a device that regulates air flow into the engine. This can be via DBW throttle control, a 2 or 3 wire solenoid, or a stepper motor valve. ...
