The value entered determines the maximum RPM allowed while the launch control input is in an active state.
An example of this is where a clutch pedal switch or transbrake is used to activate launch control. When triggered the engine will rev to a maximum of 5000rpm then resume normal operation after the launch control input is deactivated.
