O2 Heater

O2 Heater

O2 Heater

An O2 Heater is used to heat Narrowband O2 Sensors so that O2 Control can begin immediately after startup. The Voltage calibration for an O2 Sensor applies at a constant temperature, and thus the sensors must maintain the temperature that corresponds to the calibration to ensure proper function. The O2 Heater output will pulse an output to provide a ground to the heater circuit inside the Narrowband O2 sensor.

This node allows you to set the frequency at which the O2 Heaters will pulse. The number of outputs enabled on the Wiring node will determine which frequencies are able to be set.

Heater Duty Cycle

This table controls the duty cycle for the output controlling the O2 heater. This is used to accurately control the temperature of the sensor under varying conditions - for example when under low load, the exhaust temperature is too cool to maintain the correct temperature for the O2 sensor. This table allows the user to supply more duty to the heater circuit under low exhaust temperature conditions and conversely less or even no duty under higher exhaust temperature conditions. Each O2 Heater output has its own table.

Wiring

Number of outputs

Sets the number of O2 sensors to be controlled.

Connections

Configures the physical outputs used to control the O2 Heater. Typically a DPO will be used. Active State should be set to Low and the Pull Up Voltage disabled.
