Primary Fuel Density

Primary Fuel Density

Primary Fuel Density

This table is used to set the density of the primary fuel used in the ECU fuel volume delivery calculations. Default = 737.2 kg/m3 (Gasoline/Petrol)

The table is enabled when the Fuel Type is set to Petrol, Flex Fuel, or Ethanol Petrol Blend and sets the density of the Primary fuel, being Petrol. The secondary fuel density is hard coded. When the Fuel Type is set to Ethanol or Methanol, the Primary Fuel Density is hard coded to the relevant density for that fuel.

Fuel density information can be found from most fuel supplier documentation.

Densities used in Haltech Firmware are:

Petrol 737.2 kg/m3
Ethanol 785.0 kg/m3
Ethanol 85 777.8 kg/m3
Methanol 791.8 kg/m3
