Shift Point Load Table
The Shift Point Load table is only available if the Transmission Type in Transmission is set to Ford ZF 6-speed.
Axis selection and changing values
The horizontal axis (left to right) is fixed to Engine Demand to make sure the Transmission shifts under the correct circumstances. Changing the axis values can be accomplished by pressing F3 when the table is selected, then either editing an existing value or adding a new value. Note that if you edit an axis site value, the overall table values will be adjusted so that the shape of the table is unchanged.
Engine Demand is a non-linear indicator of how much torque is being requested from the engine. It is closely related to throttle and pedal positions.
Tuning
The purpose of this table is for tuning shift points. The output value of this table (shift point load %) is used as the load axis for the shift point calculations within the Transmission Control Module. Automatic shifting during cruise control is heavily influenced by the tuning of this table.
As a general rule, increasing the values in the table will cause the shift point to occur at a higher RPM. This can make the car feel sportier, but may be worse for fuel economy. It is recommended that the table begins with 0% and ends with 100%.
