This node is only available if Spool Up Gear Enable is on in the Transmission Control function.
This example configuration will obviously require at least one Brake Pedal Switch and/or Brake Pressure Sensor, the Vehicle Speed function, and a Throttle Position Sensor and/or Drive By Wire throttle.
Warning: This functionality should only be used if needed, and if the transmission is strong enough to handle the sudden shock load of shifting to 1st gear at full launch boost.
This functionality is intended for drag race cars with automatic transmissions which do not have a Trans Brake available, and overpower the brakes when in 1st gear building boost on the start line.
When the conditions are met, the Transmission Control function will put the transmission into the Spool-up Gear, enabling the turbo to spool up in a gear where the torque multiplication of the Torque Converter and Transmission are sufficiently low that the engine doesn't overpower the brakes. When the conditions are no longer met, the Transmission Control function will attempt to shift directly to 1st gear. Note that there can be some hydraulic delay in the transmission before the 1st gear actually engages, which will effect your recorded reaction time. Ensure that Line Pressure (if present), Accumulator Back-Pressure (if present) etc are configured appropriately to optimise launch times.
Note that if enabled, the spool-up gear conditions have the highest priority when determining what gear to be in.
Number of Conditions - Selects the number of channels, up to 3, that will be used as conditions to shift to first gear even when normal auto shift points don't cause a shift to first gear.
Select - Select the ECU channel to be used.
Maths - A selection of Equal To, Not Equal To, Greater Than, Less Than, Greater Than Or Equal To, Less Than Or Equal To that is to be used.
Value - The value the maths must meet to enable the condition.
Combiner - Allows conditions to be combined so that multiple conditions must be met to activate a shift to first.
