Thermo Fan Wiring

Wiring

Options

Mode - Select which type of Thermo Fan is to be connected to the ECU.
Digital - Duty Cycle - The Thermo Fan uses a PWM duty signal to regulate fan speed. It is recommended to wire the Fan directly from a 25A HCO (High Current Output) if using Digital - Duty Cycle. If there is no 25A HCO available, a Solid State Relay triggered off a regular DPO is acceptable.
Digital - Switched - The Thermo Fan is a simply On/Off style fan.
CAN - Switched - The Thermo Fan is a simply On/Off style fan controlled via CAN
CAN - The Thermo Fan is a variable speed fan controlled via CAN.

Connections

Thermo Fan Output - Select an appropriate Output to use for the Thermo Fan Output. A 25A HCO (High Current Output) must be used if the ECU is directly controlling the fan. If there are none available, a relay must be used to supply power to the fan, triggered by a DPO (or other available output).

If  using a 25A HCO and Digital - Duty Cycle, it is recommended to enable the Soft Start functionality for the HCO.

Thermo Fan Override Input - Select an appropriate Input to use for the Thermo Fan Override Input. an AVI (Analogue Voltage Input) or SPI (Synchronised Pulsed Input) is acceptable.
