Dual Fuel Tank Transfer

Dual Fuel Tank Transfer

The Dual Fuel Tank Transfer function enables the transfer of fuel from a secondary fuel tank into a primary fuel tank for dual tank equipped vehicles. Outputs available include the transfer pump, control solenoid and transfer light. Inputs available include the main tank level, secondary tank level and a transfer request switch.

Settings

The main node can be used to configure the Fuel Transfer Settings.

Fuel Transfer Settings

Main Tank Stop Level

Available when main tank full source is set to Fuel Level Sensor. This is the main fuel tank level that the transfer will stop at.

Max Transfer Time Enable

Allows a condition for the amount of time a transfer can occur for before disabling

Max Transfer Time

The maximum amount of time a fuel transfer will occur for before disabling

Max Vehicle Speed Enable

Available when a Vehicle Speed Sensor is enabled. Allows a condition for the maximum vehicle speed the vehicle can travel without disabling an active transfer

Max Vehicle Speed

Once the vehicle is travelling above this set speed, the fuel transfer will disable and stop.

Options

Transfer Request Mode

Sets the request conditions under which fuel will transfer. Choose from Transfer While Active (while the button is pressed) or Press Start/Stop to Transfer (transfer will begin after one press of button, and will stop once button is pressed again)

Main Tank Full Source

The method by which the main tank fuel level is detected. Selecting None will disable the main tank full source input. Selecting Switch Input will enable a Main Tank Full Switch Input. Selecting Fuel Level Sensor will enable a fuel level sensor input to be configured to determine when the main fuel tank is full

Secondary Tank Empty Source

The method by which the secondary tank fuel level is detected. Select if a Switch Input is used for the secondary fuel tank empty input.

Transfer Status Light Enable

Enables a transfer status light, which will illuminate when fuel transfer is occurring

Transfer Control Solenoid Enable

Enables a transfer control solenoid for dual fuel transfer vehicles equipped with a transfer solenoid

Connections

This area configures the physical inputs and outputs to be used in the Dual Fuel Tank Transfer function.
